Ken Wu

ABOUT KEN

Ken Wu is the Executive Director of the Endangered Ecosystems Alliance (EEA), Co-founder of the Ancient Forest Alliance, and former Executive Director of the Wilderness Committee’s Victoria bureau. Ken has been at the forefront of numerous protected areas campaigns and initiatives for over 30 years, helping pioneer the engagement of non-traditional allies to strategically build a broad-based movement for the science-based protection of endangered ecosystems in BC and across Canada.

Ken’s contributions have played an important role informing conservation policy and a variety of notable environmental campaigns, including protection of millions of acres of old-growth forests, including Avatar Grove, the Lower Walbran Valley, Clayoquot sound, Great Bear Rainforest, Upper Carmanah Valley, and more. He also spearheaded the recent successful campaigns to achieve a BC Old-Growth Nature Fund and Conservation Financing Mechanism.
