Our Mission
Our mission is to protect the most endangered ecosystems in Canada by filling critical conservation funding gaps that, if addressed, make it possible to establish new protected areas. Most notably, we collaborate with land-embedded communities while supporting their transitions to resilient, sustainable economies.
Our Vision
Our vision is a Canada in which all native ecosystems, including the most endangered ones, are sufficiently protected to ensure their long-term ecological integrity, and that the human and non-human communities they sustain are able to flourish.
Nature-Based Solutions
Nature-based solutions are actions that harness the power of protecting and stewarding nature in order to address today’s most pressing socio-environmental challenges—such as those related to extinction, climate, human health, and the economy.
Our goal is to safeguard and steward endangered ecosystems. In Canada, these ecosystems tend to be richer in biodiversity and stored carbon, making their protection a powerful solution to counteracting the extinction and climate crises. By working with key partners and communities, we can unlock the potential of nature-based solutions to ensure prosperity for people and the planet.
